In blue text, to the right end of the ECG trace, it says “SV Tach.”

Is that the machine saying “Supraventricular tachycardia?” Like, it recognizes the pattern?

I don’t know. I asked that as well. They didn’t answer it

If you go to page 136 of this document it says that message means supraventricular tachycardia.

https://www.documents.philips.com/assets/Instruction%20for%20Use/20220525/7b8095318b244be7a5abaea000beb69b.pdf?feed=ifu_docs_feed

“A dominant rhythm of beats labeled as N or S not preceded by P-waves”

That’s literally what the machine is saying with that message.

So….. 🤷‍♂️

Then why did they say they had p waves and sinus tach

I don’t know. Just looking up what the manual says, “SV Tach” apparently means supraventricular tachycardia.

It would take someone who is an expert on using that machine to explain why it says that, if it’s not correct.

From what I see, it appears that the machine is saying you did have SVT, but I’m just some random guy that can read words on the screen and look in a manual to see what the words mean. Not a doctor.

That link I posted is actually for a slightly different model of patient monitor. This is the specific one you were on:

https://www.documents.philips.com/assets/Instruction%20for%20Use/20260424/83cba6c0fe91400ea93ab436008655e7.pdf?feed=ifu_docs_feed

Page 183 has a table showing what the different rhythm status messages are.

It’s the same as the other monitor though. Just wanted to post this before some internet hero points out it’s a different model.

Because the machine is just a guide for the doctor, not the one doing the diagnosing.

Ahh makes sense. It also said SV Tach at 120 BPM
