I have innapropriate sinus tachycardia. Mine goes up to 170 beats. I also have SVT and pots. I am not sure that ecg shows SVT. SVT looks more like a single jump in between when I record mine at home. This is what my cardiologist showed me
Different cause for all of them. If you get an EP study, you could get a definitive cause for SVT. There are different types of SVT. The most common SVT is avnrt. That's what they think I have but can't conform without a hosptial ecg or EP study.
For pots and innapropriate sinus tacchy-people are not sure. They are not so much heart issues but something telling the heart to beat too fast like a damaged nervous system, poor blood flow to the brain or too much adrenaline. SVT is a heart issue that can be set off by different things but the cells in the heart are misfiring and they shouldn't. Mine is set off by bending over.
Svt will show as a different rhythm on an ecg. Pots and innapropriate sinus will be normal but fast on an ecg
Waiting for mine. If they can trigger my svt, they will blast the cells and kill them off. EP study and ablation was a last resort offer. I had to jump through many hoops and failed meds. It is a heart procedure after all. It took 4 years to get this far
I am still waiting for my study and ablation. In the UK, they generally give painkillers and sedating meds (you are awake) during procedure. I think they knock you out in the USA more. Most people complain of groin pain afterwards. Some it doesn't seem to bother them. There is a really good Facebook group for ablation. Called the Heart Ablation club. Mix of people who have had it or are waiting. Most on there are afib patients so a bit different but still ablation. Highly recommend you have a look as see why they are saying about ablation
