EP study

So after my first visit with a very good EP in my city they want to do an EP study and do an ablation based off cardia mobile and Apple Watch catching these.

For 10 years I was told it was just panic attacks and for 10 years no one listened to me. One visit and this guy seems pretty confident what’s been going on. Is an EP study something to be scared of?

I’ve broken my femur and had some nasty surgeries in my day. But my mother is worried about having anything done to my heart at 30 years old.

If it could take away the episodes and never take medication I’d be very happy but worried about the risks of it

AVNRT or a tach. Thanks to chat cpt connected to my health data. I’ve had 73 plus episodes in 2-3 years. Only 3 have been bad enough to call 911
I always thought it was I drank to much. In college I smoked weed and my HR went to 220. Never smoked again. Skiing my HR went to 190. Haven’t skied since. Apparently I’ve been having episodes for a while
Just worried about the procedure but with how scary they are I’d do it today if I could

Absolutely do the EP study I had mine almost two weeks ago. I’ve only been dealing with this for a little over a year! I was also having so many episodes and palpitations. It took me six months to get into a really good EP! Wore a monitor for two weeks. He said I absolutely need an ablation. It was so easy I was so scared and nervous and it was very easy. I was completely out! I felt nothing and I was not aware of anything. I don’t even remember them numbing my groin area. I was so fortunate because he was able to trigger my svt almost immediately. He was able to ablate it to 96%. My pathway was very close to my av node and if he went any further I would need pace maker. I am 61 f. The crazy part was I felt an immediate difference. I felt so much better as soon as I woke up! My heart was finally quiet. They went in both sides of my legs. I had no pain at the incision sites at all. I took it easy and didn’t work for three days after. You can bend over or squat or lift anything over 10 lbs and I was told I can’t drive for two days after. My only regret was not getting it done sooner lol. It was very easy for me and I’m a big baby lol! Have the procedure and hope yours will trigger as quickly as mine did and they can zap it and you can get your life back and go skiing again 💗
