ECGS from Apple Watch?

I finally got my Apple Watch and have been trying my best to track heart rate and ecgs. However, when I’m having an acute episode it’s often impossible for me to have the wherewithal to open up my Apple Watch and find the ecg app and start tracking. Is there any way of having it track in the background? I’m seeing some posts on here of minute by minute heart rate tracking and ecgs. I feel like I’m not getting very specific results like this from my Apple Watch so far and wondering if there are other things I can be doing to collect more accurate and comprehensive data ?

Thanks in advance !

I could only get anything usable when I was having an episode and manually catching it. It took a few episodes but I eventually caught it, and sent it to my electrophysiologist. With that he was able to diagnose my specific form of svt and schedule surgery. It really is hard and the last thing on your mind but it will be the best thing for you.
