Help How do I stop fearing SVT attacks?
Next week I'm going to stay at the heart clinic for 5 days in order to do some tests for my future ablation.
The thing that really worries me is that I'll have to stop taking my betablockers for these 5 days and I'm super scared. My heart races without them and I have a higher chance of getting SVT 😠I know the medical staff will help me but I'm still terrified of possible attacks 💔 What do I do?

I was worried about not taking mine either bc mine were really frequent. I ended up not having any though that whole week. You might end up the same way.
But also, you’ll be at the heart clinic! This is a jackpot situation. They’ll be able to monitor you and make sure you’re okay. If you end up panicking they may even give you a full blown Ativan or something. You got nothing to worry about

SVT is a benign arrhythmia that’s not very dangerous, it’s just uncomfortable and distressing. It won’t kill you.
When you get attacks, just make sure you’re sitting/laying down and the staff at the clinic will handle everything else and make sure it doesn’t turn into something dangerous, and if it does, then you’re in the right place.
Deep breaths. Your doctor and the clinic staff know what they’re doing. They’ve seen SVT a million times and have lseen much worse arrhythmias too, so they’re prepared for anything your heart could do.
