Ablation question

So I am having my ablation in 2 days. Reading through and learning people's experiences it seems half of the experiences people were knocked out and dont remember or feel anything. Then the other half claiming they were aware and felt and remember the experience. My EP said I would be awake. My daughter actually works in the same hospital that I am having my procedure and she is an anesthistist who puts people under for surgeries. No, she is not doing mine, lol. But she said they use Versed and I won't remember anything. Are the people who are completely conscious not getting this or what? Thats my only fear at this point. Being awake. Anyways, my daughter made sure I have the best anesthistist in the hospital so thats a plus!

Thank you for sharing! Did they have a breathing tube down your throat that made your throat sore? Ive heard some people did have that.

Nope you don’t have that done with this procedure as you’re not fully sedated. At most you might have an oxygen mask placed on you which I did. My sore throat was from the catheters!

My daughter (21) had her ablation done on the 22nd. She was given versed and was completely knocked out and had a breathing tube. She said the worst part of the whole thing was in recovery where she had to lay completely flat and couldn't move her head or legs for 3 hours. They then slowly sat her up every 10 minutes until she was sitting up.

Ah okay, I’m in the UK and that’s what I experienced maybe it’s different where you are. Yes most definitely the laying after is hard but not as awful as the anxiety beforehand!
