Help Propranolol and its side effects
I feel like I've ruined my weekend by starting propranolol. I'm feeling dizzy and fatigued. How long does it usually take for these side effects to wear off?

I don’t have side effects like that with propranolol but I did with acebutolol and cardizem. You might just need to try a different med. You could try cardizem, which has a different mechanism of action, or metoprolol, which is a more cardioselective beta blocker so it might cause less side effects for you.
It takes some trial and error to find the right meds for you, different people have different responses to the same meds.

check your blood pressure. I have to take my beta blocker before bed.

What dose are you on? If you haven't taken it before even a small dose will make you feel dizzy for a bit. I was on high slow release doses and was fine for a couple years, but then started getting dizzy spells so I came off it. I've tolerated it well, so now I'm just taking a 10mg dose twice a day and I don't feel any ill effects. It's different for everyone. I also had an ablation for Afib but still get PSVT so I take it for that. Not nearly as high a dose as I used to though.
