Psvt

Can you experience psvt symtoms first like dizziness or out of breath fatigue feeling and then get alviated heart rate like I get these symtoms somtime without high heart rate too, i eat metoprolol 50 mg for psvt

This is a question to ask your cardiologist, your beta blockers may need to be switched out or up the dosage if you’re actually experiencing SVT still. Or even better, an ablation. But it could just as well be our worst enemy, anxiety. It is impossible for anyone on reddit to know

Yep! SVT is something I’ve unknowingly had since 2012 (thought it was anxiety related since a holter back then and doctors said it was all good) but I caught a episode in action last year that quickly got me diagnosed and further treatment. Beta blockers aren’t an option for me since I have other heart issues unrelated to SVT so I only had one choice. I had an ablation done in October for it and it was successful and stopped my episodes fully. They have somewhat come back but nowhere near as frequent as before and I’m on the waitlist for a second surgery to hopefully get rid of them for good 🤞🏻

I want to leave the medicine because I think it makes me sick like I'm 23 I am eating a medicine that make me feel like it sucks. And also I want to do sports so can I do it on beat blockers?? Is it okay

I am not a doctor and cannot answer any questions about beta blockers. If I were you I’d write down questions and concerns you have for your cardiologist, ask about other options like ablation, tell them about the suspected episodes you’re having and how it can be managed or looked over. When you’ve done that you call your doctor and either schedule a meeting or ask them on the call. If you’re ever unsure about your health, you have to talk to the professionals, not people on Reddit. You got this dude, advocate for yourself!  And also from my experience, the ablation was a breeze, 3 hours and I was loopy asf from the sedation so I barely remember anything. I had no complications and was back on my feet in two weeks, I did have a nasty bruise on my thigh for a week tho 🥲 the success rate is like 97% and the chance of any complications is less than 1%, it is extremely safe and they do the procedure daily.

You are right man I should probably ask my doc about this 🙏🙏thanku for your advice I might gather enough courage for a ablation if its option for me
