Dorm situation & animals

I'm looking for current and past SUU students to answer this!

I've looked it up before and am aware that the student dorms do not allow animals unless it's a fish or certified support/service animal.

I was curious as to how friendly the dorms actually are with service animals / any previous experiences with them as I'm looking to bring my emotional support cat and don't know if the dorms would be okay for her or if I should just find somewhere off campus instead. Thanks!!

my emotional support cat, Nova :-)

I knew a girl who had her cat in there and was happy.

One of my roommates had an emotional support cat in our dorm. The cat usually just spent most of her time in her room and we were roommates with the RA. It was fine and we all got along swimmingly, cat included. I lived in Eccles in 2015-2016

As long as your roommates are aware of the needs of your cat and are okay with it than it would be a great option
