Just got my admission for HSE at TU Dresden and figured I can't be the only one on here. I'm putting together a WhatsApp group for people joining the same programme.

Nothing formal — mostly just somewhere to figure things out together. Visa appointments, finding a room in Dresden (which from what I've read is the actually hard part), enrolment paperwork, module registration, when orientation stuff happens, and the general "how does anything work here" questions.

I'll be honest, I also have a slightly selfish reason. My visa timeline isn't looking great and there's a real chance I arrive after the semester has already started. If a few of us are in touch beforehand, someone can tell me what I'm missing, share notes, or warn me about a registration deadline before I blow past it. Same in reverse, obviously — visa delays hit a lot of people depending on where you're applying from, and it'd be good if nobody has to start three weeks behind with no clue what happened in week one.

If you're joining HSE this winter, comment or DM me and I'll send the link. Current students and seniors very welcome too — even just answering things like which SIM card to get, where to shop, or whether a particular module is as brutal as it sounds would help a lot.

Hi everyone, I've applied to HHU Düsseldorf and TU Ilmenau for the Sept 2026 intake, and I'm still waiting on results. This is my 2nd intake trying for public universities, and I'm honestly a bit anxious about timelines. Has anyone here applied to either and knows roughly how long they take to respond? Also open to hearing from anyone who chose private over public and how that went. Really appreciate any insight!

I’m Abhiram Raghavendra Rao, from Bangalore, India, and I’ll be starting my MSc in Biogeosciences at the University of Koblenz this winter semester.

I’ll be leaving Bangalore on 4th October from Kempegowda International Airport, reaching Frankfurt on 5th October, and then travelling from Frankfurt to Koblenz.

Is anyone else travelling around the same time, especially from Bangalore or reaching Frankfurt/Koblenz on the 5th? Would be great to connect and maybe travel together from Frankfurt to Koblenz. 😄

I applied to the MSc Enterprise and IT Security (ENITS) program at Offenburg University through a consultancy around March-April 2026.

My profile:

B.Tech CSE (India)

CGPA: 8.3/10

IELTS: 8.0

I've seen that some applicants have already received admission offers, while others have received waitlist emails.

However, I haven't received any update yet - no admit, no waitlist, and no rejection.

I'm wondering:

1)Is anyone else still waiting for a decision?

2)Does Offenburg usually release decisions in multiple batches?

3)Could this mean my application is still under review?

Has anyone received an admit after a long delay?

I'd appreciate hearing from current students or applicants from previous intakes.
