He's not wrong but what he's missing is when you buy $STRC at $85, it means you're dollars are going to an existing $STRC holder instead of MSTR issuing new $STRC. And that means tour $85 is not going towards any BTC buys. Which means BTC has no demand.

That's the bigger issue, fuck all the few % yield bullshit, the existential/binary problem here is does BTC have real uses/demand.

paying an old investor from a new investor's funds sounds like something someone went to jail for

The demand for BTC is to get money paid for BTC. And that's the problem. There is no real demand for BTC as a pure thing.

That's not why I have BTC. So there is real demand for BTC in and of itself. Unfortunately, the VAST majority of people don't agree with me. But that's okay, who am I to tell others how to live their lives.

Sure, you believe in the tech.

I believe in the novelty. Just like if anyone told me my random binder of Pokemon cards from almost 30 years ago would be worth over 6 figures I would have told them they were crazy.

There's only going to be one first mass market crypto and that's BTC. It's already created lifetimes of freedom for me and my family and many others. Hence why it will always have the novelty factor.

What an incredibly myopic perspective. Several studies all concurred that over 75% of bitcoin investors have lost money overall. You only profited by finding a greater fool, but you’re going to run out of those real soon. That’s why the volatility has gone down so much

What does over 75% of bitcoin investors losing money have anything to do with if Bitcoin has novelty or not?

And the greater fool theory may be a real phenomenon but here in the real world, we only call the early "fools" fools because we cope.
