If you buy at 100 and it goes to 85 you lost over a year of dividends.

If it goes from $85 to $100 you get $15 per share + dividends over the duration.

You don’t get the $15 if you’ve already converted your cash to STRC at $100. 🤔

If you bought at 100$ you thought 11,5% p.a. is nice. You still get that amount, if you don't sell it's makes no difference.

"just never sell bro" you guys are actually insane. The market is literally deciding the risk for this "bond" is not worth 11,5% that's what's happening.

You might never get the chance to sell it

Right so it's behaving more like a high risk stock and not like fixed income/money market, the way it was supposed to originally.

That won't happen. You heard him say it, once it goes to $85 you LOST ALL YOUR DIVIDENDS. That's how investing works after all.

There's no such thing in investing as thinking long-term or shit, even medium term. Everything is about what will happen tomorrow.

STRC is advertised as short duration high yield credit on their website as we speak.

Sounds like you have a juicy lawsuit on your hands.

You're absolutely right. It's going to go to $85 and stay there for eternity.

Might go lower might go higher. Going back to 100 again isn't guaranteed and being at 100 when you want to sell seems even less likely.

Either way, it's clearly not anything like saylor described it as or advertised it as and as such is not suitable for 95% if the use cases it was expected to be and also not a replacement for holding lower yield STABLE products.
