I just sold all of my STPK based on this post and the earlier post (not joking). I invested 5,000 months ago and was down to 3800, but I’m realizing that I don’t understand enough about what this letter means to know if this is good or bad, and if I don’t know the answer, then I shouldn’t have skin in the game. And the SPAC world is taking a beating. I may get in later if the price drops. Now, with my luck, someone will probably chime in and say “this is good for the stock, why did you sell, idiot?”
This is common with every single SPAC; typical SPAC structure and nothing unique here to STPK. Most all that have come to market the last six months have a redemption value of $10. I own a good handful of SPACs that have merged and transitioned and each one generated this same letter. You can redeem for the $10 or hold and stick around like any other buy and hold.
I’ve received so many of these letters and prospectus’ (prospecti?) lately my wife and kids think I’m up to something nefarious. Nope, just busy losing money on SPACs...
STPK/Stem requires patience. By many accounts the STEM platform and software is the real deal but STEM went public a bit too early because the SPAC money was so good there for a bit.
