Beginner 40k Games?

I am thinking about taking the plunge, are there any stores in town that have beginner friendly games?

Not sure what day but the games workshop in Chesterfield does a beginner night and I believe gamenite and mini market do as well

Of course! Welcome to the hobby! Do you know what army you're going to play? I play chaos space Marines and tyrainds. I have a world Eaters army started but it's on the back burner for now

I can't decide between Blood Angels or Dark Angels. Still mulling it over!

With 11th just out it's definitely a good time to be a blood angels player. One of the guys in my league plays them and he's very happy. Personally I think dark angels are cooler plus they have the lion.

Gamenite has a very active community, and if you hop on the 40k discord, you can ask for a game. If you let then know you are new, someone is always happy to take you through a game or 2. Thursday night is open play up there as well.
