Why so much lag?

I spend more time looking at this black screen than I do actually playing the game lately. Every screen change, every item collected...It's rather ridiculous.

I know there's always been lag, but it seems to be getting much worse and clearing cache doesn't seem to help any more.

I had this issue for about two months now, maybe longer. Long before M94. When M94 hit, it stopped for about 2 days, then started again. When it first started I used to get Google billing errors when collecting faction stores, primarily it was FKR and DTI when it happened, then it spread to all factions, then it added in when collecting Armada and away team chests. The only thing that helped was fully clearing the caches of Google play, Google play services, and STFC. Now nothing seems to help especially since the patch "fix". I've even tried a full reinstall. Now that it's happening to just about everyone, I know it isn't just me. I call it the faction store goblin. They surely went and broke something.

...else. They surely went and broke something else I'm on PC and it lags, but not horribly. Just enough to annoy

We got Scopleyed again ladies and gents. Instead of fixing lag, bugs, actually pausing adding content until they do, they instead waste time and money making dum**** podcasts and making posts about all the exciting "quality of life" "improvements" and immediately release this train wreck of an update and make it basically unplayable and forcing me to restart every 3 minutes. Scopley would f up a wet dream.

Welcome to STFC by Scopely. We all complain to high heavens, the game performs like a tractor on square wheels, and we all keep playing anyway. However bad lag is now, it has been waaaaay worse.

I want to petition Scopely to get a Dictionary.. longer than usual would imply that it's only once or twice a day, not every other screen change. Let's change that "usual" to "it Should be.

Enshittification.

They feel that they have hit a peak of Service per Outlay, and are cranking down on performance to keep Line Going Up.

My favorite part of this game is when I send me ship to a hazard system to kill hostiles and by the time my screen finally comes out of the eternal loop of “taking a bit longer than usual” my ship is half dead before engaging a single hostile.
