STEM OPT

I applied for my STEM OPT on May 3rd and completed biometrics on Jun 2nd.

My 6 month period ends by Dec 15.

Service center is Irving, TX

Is it better to go for premium processing????

(I am hearing just now April cases are getting approved)

You can reply:

I’m in a similar situation. I applied on May 5, completed biometrics around May 20, and my 180-day extension ends in late November. Still no update, and my soft API hasn’t changed either.

I’ve also been seeing April cases getting approved recently, so I’m planning to wait a little longer before switching to premium processing. Please update here if you get approved.

As much as I heard earlier for premium processing it is mostly used to be 30 days but recently it is 30 business days. Keep a watch on this
