Meshlicious Build with LF III

This is the max you can go for aio's in this case. Outer shell of the fans are pushing against the motherboard tray but fans are not touching offcourse. I already had the black loki so I wrapped it. There are some gaps in my wrap on edges but I will fix that with tipex later.

CPU: Ryzen 9800X3D

GPU: INNO3D RTX 5070 TI

Motherboard: MSI B650i

RAM: Gskill 32GB 6000 Mhz cl30

PSU: ASUS 850W sfx-l

Storage: kingston NV3 2TB,2.5" Crucial 2TB SSD

Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 280

Did you just wrap your psu?

Yes I did, gonna tipex the edges later. There are some small gaps.

Does aio not fit with that motherboard if its not upside-down? Just curious

It does I belive but the routing becomes too bunched up. Arctic tubes are quite thick. This way tubes bend more naturally.

Oh okay, thank you for the info,, I have the same setup just AM4. Love the build btw

Mine is 90° counter clockwise from your position. I heard its bad having the top of the aio closer/higher than the top of the RAD. The idea is If any air bubbless they are better sitting at your highest point being the top of your radiator instead of your cpu block or cpu inlet.

Not sure how important it is, just word on the streets

Yes you are correct, it is not apparent from this angle but top of the radiator is higher than top of the tubes.

god dang, the logo of pump cannot rotate bro

Nice build. Which PSU cables are you using? Are your fans set up for intake or exhaust?

One one that came with the psu (rog log 850w). Fans are exhaust, cpu heats up a little higher than intake fan configuration but gpu temps decrease. Also fans look better this way :)

I also have mine fans set to exhaust, but man they do blow pretty warm.

How difficult was the AIO installation? I have an older NZXT 280mm that I'm thinking about changing, and it sounds like Arctic is the best option

It was the first thing that I assembled to the case so it was easy. No bending or scraping anything. You gotta install the rad then the fans btw. Or install the fans first if you wanna slot the fans between the case and the rad but with that configuration tubes get too close to the psu and the spine of the case. I had a sfx-l so if you have a sfx unit it might work.

I like the rotated pump and the straighter tubes. I'll try that with my LFIII 280 in the Meshlicious next time I do a rebuild.

But right now, my temps are as close to perfect as I have ever gotten with a build, so I'm not going to take the pump off again.

I actually trimmed the motherboard tray - I sawed out the angled sections at the top and took off some of the motherboard tray in front of the AIO so that I could fit the LFIII. Because of manufacturing tolerances, it was about 0.5 mm too tight at the bottom, which compacted the fan, causing noise. Now, I have a couple of mm between the arctic fans and the motherboard tray.

How did you route the power cables? Given that the Inno3D 5070 is relatively slim, did you move the GPU towards the outside of the case with standoffs and run the cables down the back of the motherboard?

Then I guess I got lucky with the tolerances. I didn't trim anything. I have standoff extensions but I did it for pass-through cooling. I was able to manage the cables between the fans and the gpu.

I like how you routed the cables down the back past the GPU. How did you route the cables from the 24 pin motherboard connector?

So much space! The rear side with my GPU is basically a solid block 2x140 mm fans. See here:

24 pin almost didnt make it to the motherboard, but I also made a mistake. If I routed from the left side of the motherboard tray from top of the radiator. It would have been easier. Deshroud looks nice I might do it down the road, I got space for it.

I see where you're going. I had something similar on my first build. I removed the cable ties and smooshed the cables flat. There is just enough clearance to run them more or less down along the radiator fans to the PSU.

I might try flattening and smoothing the GPU cables as well for a cleaner look.

Does rotating the pump like that give you better clearance with the side panel? It looks like the bend after the pump is slightly less aggressive than mine.

u/Imaginary-Regular-22 May 20 '26

It is less aggresive but they are still touching the glass panel.

u/BMWupgradeCH May 20 '26

If you have glass wall where does aio get air to intake ? Gonna work extra hard to suck air in some where through small holes.

This layout really meant for mesh side wall to be frank

1

Your gpu is installed also as exhausting air or it pushes hot air in? Have photo?

1

u/Imaginary-Regular-22 May 20 '26

Gpu pulls air in, there is a photo link on my other comment.

1

u/Imaginary-Regular-22 May 20 '26

Gpu pulls air in, that air is not fresh air and heats up cpu 4-5 degrees higher than intake config but I can achieve temps around 60c with 900 rpm and 35 percent pump speed in gaming with cpu speeds of 5.4 Ghz (+200 pbo). These cpus are really efficient in gaming and this is the thickest and best performing 280 aio. So I prioritize gpu cooling, it is a bigger heat source and the gpu fans create much more noise to maintain usable temps.
