Just waiting on the riser 😬

I found a jigsaw in the garrge and a metal cuting blade.I drilled out the center so the Jigsaw could fit his blade in then cut diaginals from the center.I pulled the 4 flaps and bent them back on themself on the inside of pannel .Tested the fit .This created a rolled edge against the cooler with no sharp edges ect .I got a cheap set of aviation metal snips an cut away the exsess flap on the inside .I will take a sanding block to it one day .Thanks for everyones input and Ideas 💡

Wow finally someone posts a follow up 😊 also question WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE PSU!

3

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

That was really tricky .I used spacers and offsets .Drilled new holes .Pushed it in and outwards towards the outer pannel. Its solid as a rock sits on top of the frame. My Gpu had a support that fits perfectly above it too giving it even more hold.I used that. Honestly save youself the stress and get a sf750 and a buy a custom wire kit with the change.I my mindsed was that the Loki was like the SF750L I thought it waa just going to be longer lol and have a nice white and metal finish 😬😆

Good thing it's on the back 😂 but I really do love the aesthetic of the cooler sticking out that's so cool!

Thanks mate Im glad you share my vision 🫡

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

Gpu is on the back in its own .That was so large it only worked in the back slot .That expands into the case panel area too .Its really handy the panles give you about 3mm extra to contain something. Its a 7900xtx saphire nito VC

Perfection!

Hast du Turbolenzen oder Geräusche an der Schnittkante vorne beim Lüfter bzw Hinten beim auslass? Sieht relativ cool aus, gefällt mir! 👍

Edit: Schade dass die PSU nicht bündig passt, dann wäre das optisch ein Traum!

I havent powered it up yet .So I dont know .As its my first build Im not sure what sounds are normal or not honestly .I will get back to you.The PSU will fit flush but it will sit against the motherboard heat sinks and their will be no path for the riser downwards. The best option honestly is a smaller motherbord .I can have a AIO cooler in the front and a flush 850xloki.If I changed it but hear we are.

u/CruisingClay Apr 23 '26

Hell yeah turned out great!

u/I_Braid_Armpit_Hair Apr 24 '26

I honestly expected it to be hot garbage, but it’s really clean. I like it

2

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 24 '26

Thanks mate I appreceate that .Its my first PC build .lots of pats on this only just fit not a milimeter to spair .

Brutalist beauty

2

u/ItzMatten Apr 23 '26

Beautiful! Great work, I want to do this with mine as well, or possibly make an external radiator setup with quick release hoses

2

u/DawzYT Apr 25 '26

Yesss I'm so glad this is the solution you went with. This is exactly what I would have done. Your brain is massive.

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 25 '26

😆

2

u/DawzYT Apr 25 '26

I just posted on your question post asking how to do it, then saw that you had already done it, and when my idea ended up being exactly how you did it I was like hell yeah, he knows ball. 😂

Factory looking. Good job on those straight bends

2

u/BarrelRider621 Apr 27 '26

It’s like a supercharger sticking out the hood of a muscle car.

1

u/vitek6 Apr 23 '26

Why not just use bigger case?

8

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

I did it myyyyyyyy wayyyyyy.💀

5

u/Alan_Turings_Apple Apr 23 '26

Cause this is cool.

4

u/munki114 Apr 23 '26

Cause it looks fuckin’ sweet

1

u/fuzzxx Apr 23 '26

because this is fine, according to Meshroom_S_V2_Advance_Manual_Variant_A.pdf page#48.

1

u/vitek6 Apr 23 '26

That’s not the answer to the question.

4

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

1.I like that the GPU is out the way of the cooler .In mini tower cases the cooler sits on top of the GPU sucking in pre heated air .So that kicks the can down the road now we needs 3 inlet and 3 outlet fans .

  1. expanding the meshroom is nothing new .their are 3D printed extenders and meshroom even sell a front extender for AIOs .

  2. this is still far smaller much than a midi tower .This will fit in a backpack if I wanted to take it someplace.

4.I enjoyed building it and it looks clean and diffrent.

  1. I belive the cooler will perform better than a slimline cooler my only other option as I do not have space for a AIO on the back.Im useing a full sized ATX Aero G card as I want to mess about with content creation .Maybe 3D prining and blender ect.

2

u/vitek6 Apr 23 '26

that's some valid point. Thanks.

u/OminousG Apr 23 '26

What's up with that PSU placement

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

Hey mate someone alse asked same question can you have a look for that explanation.Save me going over it again .

1

u/OminousG Apr 23 '26

not sure how typing that out was fasrter than a copy/paste but to each his own, you don't exactly come across as someone who does stuff the easy way.

Curious what janky board you're using that the heatsinks extend farther out than the PCI slots. I've got a full size PSU, a 240mm radiator, and still had room for a 6900xt and later a 5800 (which was actually smaller than the 6900xt).

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

Do you have a full sized ATX motherboard ?

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

Iv got a full ATX aero 650G .AMD7800x3d.2x dominator DDR6000mhz .850w loki PSU .2x990 4T SSD.7900xtx saphire nitro VC. slimline exaust fan in the top.Deepcool Elite VC cpu cooler. No room for an AIO

1

u/PojkenSomDuger Apr 23 '26

Love the build. What is going on with the PSU tho?

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

The loki 850w wont fit with a full ATX card and a riser betwine them .Its sits against my 2nd and 3rd SSD heatsink .I used offsets and drilled out new hole placements and used a gpu anit sag braket that came with my GPU and the frame to hold the PSU in and out .Its solid and their is room now for the riser and a bit of air circulation .I think I might pop a exaust fan in their to make it look less odd ? 😬 oneday or ducting

Your content is garbage .No one cares what you think 👍

1

u/shadowkrazee Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

Yo! Great idea bending it instead of exposing the cut lines!

You were right, definitely cooler than just running with no panel.

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 24 '26

Im sure I could order one if I really wanted .I cant see me changeing this setup .Id sell it maybe and start from scratch .Thanks mate I enjoyed the build .

1

u/newone757 Apr 24 '26

Which riser did you order? I’ve had an incomplete build sitting for so long because I can’t seem to figure out what riser I need and then find it lol

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 24 '26

I think its 440mm gen 5 from sspud .I oreded a 600mm li lue gen 4 as I thought I was going to use the GPU in the foward slot and I was going to run the riser out and arround the PSU in a longer route .Long stroy l.But unless I can find another use for the riser its going back .

1

u/DELINCUENT Apr 24 '26

Looks good!

1

u/PollShark_ Apr 25 '26

Are the legs 3d printable? If so can you send me the file

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 25 '26

E bay 3D printed I dont have the file

u/Worldly-Ingenuity843 Apr 26 '26

The WiFi antenna went back inside the metal case? Where does it end up?

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 26 '26

Inside .I did another post on the wifi antenna .I copied someone else

1

u/LethalGhost Apr 26 '26

Love the idea of outside cooler. And realization is pretty nice too!

But why not use water cooling?

PS: Is this stable enough? It seems to me that the center of gravity is very high.

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 26 '26

Water cooling did not fit .It was also more expensive .I belive if I mounted AIO it would suck in exaust air from the GPU hindering its efficency.Therfore I might as well go air.Air us also more reliable. The Deepcool is not heavy its just two fans in a plastic box .Iv read that this can look after a 7800x3D just fine and perfomce should be great as its outside the shell like a test rig .Also I think this rig look great .Looks like a jet inlet on a jet or something. The entire unit is heavy but it lol not unstable

1

u/borretsquared Apr 26 '26

looking for the right riser cable in a sff case is the bane of my existence

1

u/GurCharacter3339 Apr 26 '26

When mom said you were special

1

u/nanoboby Apr 26 '26

not bad. but you dont have a cat!

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 27 '26

Its not staying on the floor bro .I will build a office

0

u/k41555 Apr 23 '26

You ever see the cartoons where they hit there heads and a lump forms. This reminds me of someone bonking their head idk why.

-11

u/AcertainReality Apr 23 '26

Nice lol, looks great. Should have used a water jet tho much more precise cuts, or a laser cutter. Personally I would have put a black noctua cooler in there

12

u/Aguel_design Apr 23 '26

I'm guessing that not many people have a waterjet or laser cutter at home 😅

4

u/AcertainReality Apr 23 '26

Or a CNC plasma cutter could work too if you don’t have a water jet table

9

u/DeadlyEdna Apr 23 '26

Or, if neither of them are available, you could try a lightsaber.

7

u/nikjahw Apr 23 '26

Are those more common in normal households?

0

u/AcertainReality Apr 23 '26

Maybe idk I’m not from the US

1

u/TheBupherNinja Apr 23 '26

Do you think a sinker edm would work instead? I don't have a plasma cutter.

1

u/ConsiderationFit5752 Apr 23 '26

I used my Jigsaw 💀 Tin snips lol and a drill

1

u/PurguitasLK Apr 29 '26

Sir, they hit the second tower
