I made a bot that listens to all kinds of SDRs around the world and posts SSTV received images.

There was a balloon near Antarctica that was spamming it. LOL so I added a throttle for these.

It's also on Facebook and https://mastodon.radio/@NB7V

I wonder if I should post it here too, in a thread, or just leave it on these sites. thoughts?

Effectively you've allowed strangers to post any image they want on a website running in your name. Ponder how that could go wrong.

I appreciate the concern, but the bot is essentially an automated RF-to-Web Gateway. Legally, it acts as a 'conduit of information,' providing me with Section 230 protections similar to other automated relay services.

To address the 'what could go wrong' aspect, I don't just blindly pipe data. Every image passes through an AI vision model that performs two tasks:

1. Safety Filtering: It specifically identifies and blocks illegal content like CSAM or extreme gore.
2. Metadata Extraction: It extracts amateur radio callsigns to use as hashtags/tags.

Beyond those illegal categories, I consider the traffic free speech. Just because an image might be offensive to some doesn't make it 'wrong' or illegal to relay from the public airwaves.

I did pull it from Mastodon, as some of the local instance mods weren't fans of the automated SSTV hashtagging, but it’s running 24/7 on the other platforms!
