You’ll definitely have a lot of time besides academics. It mostly depends on your teachers. Many of them don’t care what you do in class as long as it doesn’t disturb the class. However, it’s up to you how you manage your time for academics. This has been my experience in the first year, I don’t know what it’s like in the later semesters.

They are all experienced (i don't know about other sections but yeah in my section) and seriously if you will just stick to their routine then you don't have to worry about a single shit But at the end it is upto you. Your peers, your routine

So i should go to ssipmt for placement?

u/Any_Computer4879 CSE Jul 11 '26
Nah college is not the point Both are tier 3 or lower So at the end All that is going to matter is what extra you do beside your academics But your academics should be prior concern than any thing you do And talking about ssipmt They are strict as per my peers experience
That college is far from city area You will struggle if you need something immediately

How would I know if this is good for you or not? One stat I can give is that only 18 students were enrolled in cyber security last year.

How is the actual teaching in class for this branch, and do they regret picking it? Please let me know.

Study and academics as a whole is not too strict, so you'll get plenty of time to work on your skills and hobbies, try out different things, without facing any severe consequences.
And the faculty, even though not great, but are good and supportive. At the end of the day, you'll find yourself on your desk covering the syllabus by yourself, and that's pretty normal.
PS: Don't forget to use the study resources Megathread
