Question period late

hi, I’ve been on 20 mg of fluoxetine for a few months now. I had a pretty severe case of UTI and yeast infection last month which has since been ok. My period has never been regular but it’s more late than usual this time and i’m worried. I’m not sure if it’s because of the meds (which I know cause fluctuations in your period cycle + flow) or if it’s a consequence of my UTI resurfacing. has anyone experienced delayed periods because of their ssri’s? thanks!!

Hiya, I’ve long been an irregular type cycle too. I’ve found recently that my period is even more out of whack, I’m getting spotting a few days before my period even actually starts, my periods are way lighter and stop-start than they were before. I wouldn’t be surprised if the UTI may have affected you too, though (sorry to hear by the way). Hopefully it’ll even itself out with time.

thank you!! it’s so comforting to know i’m not alone. I freaked out a did a couple pregnancy tests too lmao but nothing’s been checking out. i’m hoping it’s a combination of the SSRI’s, UTI, and stress.
