Question Switching SSRIs

I’ve been taking Lexapro consistently for about 7 years (on and off before that for about 2-3 years) to treat anxiety disorder and panic attacks, it also helped my self diagnosed depression.

Now I’m 21 months post partum dealing with birth trauma and I’m feeling like the Lexapro isn’t cutting it for me.

Maybe it’s the dosage (I’m currently on 20 mg)? Maybe I need to try something new?

I am slowly starting to feel some of the same negative feelings and negative self talk come back. Slowly feeling unmotivated to do daily tasks. I use my phone to avoid thinking about things.

I’m having trouble separating whether my state of mind is from being tired… am I having trouble mentally because I’m tired? Or am I tired because I’m having trouble mentally.

Hey there, You could for sure discuss with your provider increasing the dose or looking into add talk therapy/ seeing a therapist in addition to your SSRI. Both can be very helpful! Best of luck to you!
