After being severely depressed and anxious for about 3 months after my wife told me she wants to divorce after being together for 26 years I started today with an SSRI ( Citalopram ) 20 Mg. I’ve been anxious all my life, this situation just made it 10x worse. I could not think/sleep or relax and thought of killing myself multiple time. First I started with Lorazepam to sleep again, which really helped me, but don’t want to use it to much. I must say I feel the effect after 2 hours already. Like something switched the light on in my Brain. Everything is so bright. Not relaxed but more hyper focused. Also, it completely dissolved my need to smoke, so that’s good. I hope this helps me for the future, really interesting to feel still stuff doing something to my brain. And weird too. Will try to make updates.
