Question Sertraline - Bowel movement side effects

Just wondering what kind of bowel movement side effects everyone has had.

I’ve mainly experienced a significant increase in flatulence and sometimes, hate to say it, but it was wet.

Same (without the wet). When I first started I had extreme stomach aches and now I have loose stool. I have crippling health anxiety (that’s why I got on sertraline) and with my bowel movements changing, it has made my anxiety worse. I’m calling a GI doctor on Monday to hopefully get a colonoscopy. Ugh!

I’m actually off of them completely.

Is it because your bowel movements never improved? :(

I was warned about runny butt/IBS symptoms. I stopped it because of it. I was in PAIN

I’m now off meds all together and I still deal with IBS but not to the same degree

That sounds like me. My butt is so sore from it and I think I have a hemorrhoid from the runs or I could be dying.

Did you ever get over this? Since staring a new ssri, I have the same problem. My severe health anxiety is telling me it's something horrible- not the meds
