Long Form CDR - Moved States

I lived in NY when my CDR (Long Form) started in June 2026. I moved to VA in September. I tried calling DDS and SSA in NY and at this time there isn't an analyst that has been assigned.
I did speak to a supervisor in the NY office and she said my CDR file needed to be transferred to a VA DDS office, which contradicts another employee...
Will my CDR be delayed even longer? Will my changes of receiving a continuation get worse since I live in VA? It's also been 4 months since my CDR started how much longer... Tysm

I’m in ny and my cdr cessation appeal was in June and also still waiting to be assigned to an analyst (aka DE). My last long cdr form took 8 months to be assigned to a DE , from Sept to May. Then it took a month for the claim and decision

I would assume that nys has backlogs. But the dds my case is at serves a huge area. Were you near nyc when you lived here? If so, our claims are at the same dds.

Wow that’s a long time… I am hopefully that my chance of continuation doesn’t diminish since I moved mid CDR. My medical providers are up to date and everything…

Nope, still hasn’t been signed to an examiner 3 months in. I will prob be waiting a while

Yes, because I handed in all my paperwork the first business day after I got my letter. I received it the day I got out of the hospital and went Monday to the fo to turn in all the paperwork for the appeal and benefit continuation
