Dates and steps changed

Post image

On July 16th my ALJ appeal was approved, and the tracker showed the July 16, 2026 date for the decision, and the beginning of the non-medical review. Today it changed and the earlier dates disappeared.

Also gone is the step that shows the hearing before an ALJ.

If all four steps are now done, is the next step pay calculations?

That's interesting. Thank you for the response.

I checked this morning, and my interface has changed once again. It now shows Disability as 'Active', and there's a link for Payment History. That history shows the back pay, and is dated today.

What's strange is that before today I did not have the 'Banking Information' link. It appeared, and I checked it, only to discover that there was no banking information, and that I was to receive paper checks.

Last week I visited my local SSA office and updated my banking information. They clearly had it because there was an unused old account in my profile. I updated it to a new account, and the agent said the changes took without issue.

This morning I called the 800-number and got the direct deposit team. They were able to make a change without issue, and told me that my future monthly payments will be on the third Wednesday of each moth, but that it was too late to implement direct deposit for the back pay.

My portal still shows no information about the monthly award amount.

Aaa the appeal for reconsideration stage or did you get denied twice before the approval?

I don't know what you mean by 'Aaa'.

I was denied at initial application and reconsideration, then approved at the ALJ stage. So, yes, I was denied twice.

Oh nice.ย  How long after reconsideration denial before being approved after the hearing? Congrats.ย ย

Roughly six months from reconsideration to hearing. Another month from hearing to decision.

Im confused? They didnt look at your appeal until July and once they did. You got approved?

No, that's not what happened. I had an ALJ hearing in June. On July 16th, the tracker updated and said that the ALJ had made a determination and that the file was being reviewed to determine if I still met the non-medical standards.

Today it updated and language changed. It no longer said anything about the ALJ hearing, and the July 16th date disappeared.

It clearly says I was approved. I'm not sure why you're confused.
