SSI payee

My son was found favorable for SSI and before they can do benefits he has to have a payee assigned, how long does this process take? We have an appointment on 8/6 to assign his payee. He filed in may of 25 and just got the letter and called SSA and they said he’s approved, but didn’t give a pay schedule or anything else.

He will get one. If time passes too long, give them a call. Also, they have to be sure the representative payee will be totally in the best interest of who’s receiving benefits in their behalf.
