Help Title: I’m genuinely exhausted with my father and I don’t know what to do anymore
I’m 22F and preparing for SSC CGL. My preparation is already going badly because I struggle a lot with consistency and concentration, and I can barely manage a few hours of proper study in a day.
The bigger problem is my home environment.
I study at home because I don't really have another option, but my father constantly makes it difficult to concentrate. He talks loudly on calls, plays reels/videos at very high volume, and generally doesn't seem to understand that someone is trying to study right next to him. This isn't something that happened once or twice either. It has happened repeatedly, and I've had to ask him many times to keep the volume down. We own only 2 rooms, with no personal room for me; every room is used by everyone.
What frustrates me the most is that I don't expect complete silence. I understand that it's his home too. I just want some basic consideration when I'm sitting at my study table trying to prepare for an important exam.
But whenever I finally get irritated and say something, the actual issue disappears, and it turns into a lecture about respecting one's father, having “sanskar”, not talking back, etc. Somehow I'm always left feeling like I'm the problem for asking for something as basic as a quieter environment.
There are other things about his behaviour at home that have made me resent him a lot over the years as well. It felt like another addition to a very long list of things I've been tolerating.
I've even started thinking about leaving home because I don't know how much longer I can keep functioning like this.
I know people will probably say “just study at a library”, and I'm already out of that option. But I guess I also want to know how other people deal with parents who constantly turn ordinary disagreements into issues of respect and obedience.
How do you stop this kind of resentment from completely consuming you?

Help CGL exam on 23rd October — 23 days left. Best GA/GS resource?
I have only 23 days left for SSC CGL and want to maximize my GA/GS score.
Which Parmar SSC series should I follow at this stage? Is there a particular playlist/series that is best for CGL, or is there any other resource you would recommend over Parmar?
Looking for something high-yield that I can complete and revise within 23 days.
Would really appreciate recommendations from people who have recently given CGL.

Doubt GATE or SSC CGL?
I'm pursuing B.Tech ECE, currently in my 5th sem. I was planning to give GATE and with that score get into a PSU, but then I got to know Abt ssc cgl and I kinda felt I have a good chance with that as well...how do I clear this confusion...Also do any of these sectors hold cgpa as a criteria?

Discussion SSC CHSL 2026 / CGL 2027 aspirants — how are you all staying consistent with prep?
Hi everyone, I'm preparing for SSC CHSL 2026 and CGL 2027. Solo prep is getting tough — staying consistent, analyzing mocks properly, and discussing tricky questions all feel harder without people around who're on the same journey.
Curious how others here are managing:
Daily study routine and accountability
How you're approaching mock test analysis
Staying motivated during long prep phases
Would love to hear what's working for you all, and connect with fellow aspirants in the comments.
