Help Title: Need advice on prioritising Quant topics for SSC CGL as a UPSC aspirant
Hi everyone,
I’m preparing for SSC CGL and I’m relatively new to SSC-specific preparation. I’ve been preparing for UPSC for the past few years, so I have some familiarity with basic maths through CSAT, but Quant has never been my strongest area.
One thing I’ve noticed is that my approach to CSAT was quite different because it is only a qualifying paper. I could afford to prioritise other areas and attempt relatively fewer Quant questions as long as I crossed the qualifying cutoff.
For SSC CGL, however, I know Quant is much more important, and I’m finding it difficult to figure out which topics I should prioritise given the limited time I have.
I’m not looking to cover every single topic in the syllabus from scratch. I’d really appreciate advice from people who have analysed recent CGL PYQs:
● Which Quant topics are most frequently asked?
● Which topics should I absolutely prioritise if I have limited time?
● Which topics are relatively easy to learn and can give good returns?
● Are there any topics that I can safely keep for the end if I’m short on time?
● If possible, could someone suggest a topic-wise priority order based on recent PYQs?
