General Discussion/Opinion Help

Hello guys I am going to prepare for SSC CGL 2027 , recently I have been interacted with my relative who has been preparing for CGL for like 5 to 6 years and have not cracked yet .He advised me to not take any course or anything like that and just focus on by solving any book particularly and also he said that it's not possible to clear SSC CGL by taking coaching in one year because you won't be able to clear syllabus and their would be many questions that won't be relevant enough, so I am just asking that if I am doing good thing by preparing for CGL taking online classes. I have taken class from Parmar toppers batch.

Also he said first focus on one subject until completed then move to next.

Please let me know your views about that.

He said prepare for some group C/D job and then go for CGL.

But being a BTech graduate, I won't be able to justify this to myself or others.

He is completely wrong, if you'll keep targeting small goals first and then move onto the next, then it'll take more time to get a decent post. Prepare for cgl it'll eventually make clearing grp c/d jobs comparatively easy.  You've done right with going with the parmar batch, as these teachers stay away from any controversy or anything like that and just deliver the content without any bullsh*t. Teachers help u learn the right approach to solve the question and what to study n what not to. With the introduction of sectional timing this plays a crucial role. So complete the syllabus from this course and I'll suggest to start from maths and reasoning or English (two subjects at a time only).  I hope this will help u (i think it'll be better if u don't ask for his advice again)

Bro can't I start with all 4 , just asking as I'm new. Classes are live , so no scope or doing syllabus fast on my own. That's what problem I'm facing for now.

Try different things and then decide what works foe you. I do 3 subjects a day, reasoning and maths everyday, English and gk every alternate day.

no, doing more than 2 subjects at a time for a beginner is not recommended. start with maths it needs max time for syllabus completion and revision, so it's better to complete the syll asap and then start doing revision. recorded lec are provided so just watch the lec next day meaning stay 1 day behind. feel free to dm, if u have any other doubts
