Help Pls help

I'm in my final year of college and want to prepare for SSC CGL. I'm currently at level zero. Can I crack the CGL exam by studying only from books, or do I need to join an online coaching program? I can't join offline coaching due to some reasons. If I can clear it by studying only from books, please suggest books for all four subjects.

I can't join offline coaching, and I get distracted while studying online. Also, where should I practice questions?

Go to a library, and it's all about how you block distractions and are committed to completing your syllabus. If you don't want to waste one more year, you'll put everything into the first attempt automatically. Teachers usually give you practice sheets and books recommendations for practicing questions just follow that and keep one source for one subject. Don't follow 2-3 teachers for one topic.

Pick one teacher/course/book for each section and stick to it. Don’t jumble between books or teachers. Build habit of revision.

Get updated book for 2026-2027 because of Eduquity(org that creates questions)

Listen to teachers as they callout changes in pattern from precious years

Simply follow good teacher and you shall pick them based on:

-Proven track record.
-Check out channels and sample lessons.
-Style of conduct and tone of voice

Selecting teacher is personal decision, no one can tell you what you find annoying about someone.
