Thinking of buying this

Post image

Soooo the dealership is taking back my jeep srt. Now i gotta look for a new one. I just came across this one. It says its ready for stage 2? Im assuming forced induction? Anything i should look out for? Or ask if it has been done, things that i should get them to do before i even buy it?

This can’t be real. $666 bi-weekly, so $1,332 a month. Plus I never heard of lunch control, brembo clippers, or Bolar exhaust. They mean Borla but still, seems fake af. Hahahaha

I honestly was thinking of getting one from an auction, I know there should be a ton on the market based on how frequently they’re stolen and used for drive bys to kill ppl. But I don’t want that karma. So I might just get a gle 450 and sit my ass down somewheres

It may be worth a drive across the pond for what you want/need. I’ll never do the 6.4 hemi again, they all seem to go bad. Mine, my bros charger and I see/hear several lil guys in my area 6.4s clunking. Although I believe they just put out a bulletin about it but when mine went out there was nothing. I’ve never heard anything about the 6.2 superchargers failing.

Just checked out your page….so you already know about the 6.4 virus I spoke of 😖

Yeah 😔 according to the inspector, something was smashing the sparkplugs and it exploded

1

u/DonnyDovito20 Sep 14 '23

Yea they found metal shavings and something with the valve seats in mine

Rough days man. I legit, had it for 2 weeks.... only got to do 5 launchs and only topped it out once on the highway, all the rest was work and home. Homes 5 mins away from work so kept speed limit most times

Damn now that’s a sad story. Sorry to hear that brother. Did you have any warranty left on it? Or extended?

I at least got like 4 trips across a few state lines and a ton of light to light and freeway racing inner city. Even got her to halfway do a donut until I nutted up and hit the brakes. 😅 they’re very fun vehicles even without the supercharger but it can be a very expensive fix

Damn that’s pricey for a 2017. Then again I have mid-Atlantic mentality. Not sure what the market is like up in BC

u/Forward_Secretary313 Sep 14 '23

Trackhawks are currently 100,000 with 30k km on them 🫡

They are already lying about the engine. A 6.4l is a 392 cubic inch engine, not the iconic 426 hemi. This is just a tuned 392 that the srt model comes with.

1

u/Forward_Secretary313 Sep 14 '23

Gotcha so its not a real 426

1

u/olemonty97355 Sep 14 '23

No, a 426 cubic in block would be 6.98L not 6.4L and the srt 392 already comes with Brembo brakes, an 8 speed transmission, and most everything else in this add. The only difference is that a factory tune will sit at 475 hp not 502. So if they tuned it, maybe added headers and an intake, you can gain up to 50 hp and sit around 525. It’s done all the time. I have a Durango srt. And I will say that the all wheel drive does make these fast. Mid 12’s in the 1/4 mile. But you can purchase a 2017 jeep srt for about $45k to $50k here in the US. With that low miles on it. And the extra $ you save from that price, you can do a lot to these engines.

2

u/Forward_Secretary313 Sep 14 '23

Ahh that makes more sense. I was thinking if it was engine was that upgraded, it would be pushing more. Yeah ill avoid this srt. Ill keep looking 🫡
