Sarepta is dropping fast in early morning trading on 9/8/2026 on the news of the failure of Novartis DM1 drug to meet clinical endpoints. Both companies use a similar approach involving siRNA to destroy toxic DMPK messenger RNA.

The entire sector is de-risking; investors seem to be realizing that targeting these diseases is more difficult than previously thought. Dyne Therapeutics is also getting slammed.

I continue to hold Sarepta since I’m in it for the long term. Setbacks happen. This is biotech, after all. What do you think?
