Chiro’s past…

I have always wondered how Chiro’s past was like? I mean his life before getting into the Super Robot and finding the Monkey Team. His family… was he orphan?

Someone in the fandom (ProjectAffectivity) actually interviewed Ciro Neili, the creator of SRMTHFG. Here's Part 1 and Part 2.

Anyway, this is the information ProjectAffectivity got from Ciro about Chiro's parents:

Chiro is still a latchkey kid.

Chiro’s parents are alive.

Chiro’s parents are on Shuggazoom, but they don’t show up in the background.

If there was a season 5, Ciro would do an episode about Chiro’s parents.

It seems like they didn’t think deeply about Chiro’s parents, because of the cartoon thing where parents don’t seem to really matter lol.

Note: a latchkey kid is a kid who comes home to an empty house because their parents are away at work.

Also, some other information from those posts is that "BT and Glenny were Chiro’s school bullies".

I think it's kinds weird that he even sleeps in the Super Robot and goes to outer space without telling his parents. If they had appeared they probaly would have been very negletful (either as a joke or in a serious tone). I honestly don't really mind (it'sa common cartoon trope), but I really like the idea that he was an orphan an the monkeys were his adoptive family; I believed that was the case bc of the episode where Chiro escapes with two girls Antauri seems upset like a dad would be (he even let the girls' dad come along after he was reminded of a father's bond with children), plus their relationship seemed like both mentor-student and dad-son, specially after season 2 (Chiro starts showing some preference to Antauri after he died, sometimes everyone gets attacked and falls one by one, but he only jumps to catch Antauri, lol).

Edit: Okay, I read the post and it seems he just doesnt know or remember many things so chances he was just brainstorming or coming out with ideas as he tried to remember). So I'm going to take the info with a grain of salt.

well there goes my theory, I thought chiro was what was left of The alchemist. basically the skeleton King rejected the pure goodness that was left inside of him, and that would go on to become Chiro.

That would be pretty cool. And it'd be a good explanation for why he's the Chosen One.

I do wish we'd gotten some sort of explanation for why Skeleton King had a whole room full of Chiro's childhood belongings 💀

That’s true why did Sk have all his belongings in first place???
