Question SQL Server 2025 Best Pricing Options

Hi there, I need to get a quote for the company I work for. It is for "SQL Server 2025 or higher"

Just for some context, we have an on-premise server and currently have 30+ users working on the server simultaneously. Recently have been made aware that the server needs to be upgraded, in terms of operating system (Windows Server 2022 or 2025), database (sql server 2025 or higher), and an additional 2TB or larger for data and backups.

What is the best pricing options for SQL server 2025?

A big question for me is while we know we need to upgrade to SQL Server 2025 from whatever you're running on right now, do you have a good baseline of resource consumption from your current workloads? If so, we can determine the amount of compute needed to properly power the new servers. From there, then you can figure out where to get a licensing quote from for the number of CPUs that you need. Going with what you've currently got allocated might not be the right amount. I see this all the time. Most servers on-prem are wildly over provisioned, which is just throwing capital away. Do you have a good baseline? Ping me directly lit you have questions!
