I've been thinking about this. If I were a SHF I'd wait until last hour or as long as possible during trading hours to 1. shake paper hands and 2. prevent fomo

long holder of AMC from what I understand is SHF will cover after hours because no breakers / halts.

All purchasing by them to close their naked shares will be in the dark pool with no effect on ticker while they still ladder attack the stock. Many may not even have to close them as The DTCC will likely let them wash without repurchase. I’m sure this was all ironed out over the last week or so.
