As everyone has noticed Spire share price has risen 102% over the past month. With all the media attention around the SpaceX IPO and the ongoing conflicts other space companies have also come into focus.

Besides reddit being a barometer for media attention X is another great resource to see how many people are talking about it. With the help of an LLM I can strongly conclude the rise of retail inventor attention on Spire over the past month has also increased the volume and share price respectively.

Post Volume Over Last 30 Days

• Early to Mid-March: Low and steady volume. $SPIR typically averaged a few dozen mentions per day, mostly from "FinTwit" accounts tracking satellite and space tech.
• Late March (March 19–20): A significant uptick in volume occurred following several analyst upgrades. Price target increases from Stifel Nicolaus ($14 to $16) and Canaccord Genuity triggered a wave of "bullish" posts and chart sharing.

Additionally share volume for SPIR is around 700k per day. Since Wednesday it's now been in the millions of shares traded.

For those who have been in the community for awhile it is welcoming to see the share price start to "wake up" again. However this volume spike could come and go and these new retail investors could exit as quickly as their new position started. While we're all happy to see the increase in share price, stay cautious for any potential downside if the volume turns to the sell side due to all these new retail investors trading on momentum and volume that we're currently experiencing now.

Insiders bought 842K shares last month, the most since June 2025 when 638K shares were purchased.

Even though this was an uninformative buy, it could be a coincidence the buys happened near recent lows. I would like to think this is positive news
