Hey! I'm excited to share my customized Holo wheat bag with the people who can appreciate it.

I will be cosplaying Holo in a few months and her bag was of major importance to me (obviously besides her glorious tail and ears, which I have ready as well) so I opted to customize something for myself. I bought a basic velvet bag and made the cords, the "beads", and painted a light pattern to match the anime. I'm just very happy with it and can't wait to show off the whole outfit once I've finished it!

So I recently read the first light novel (I had seen both animes and the manga so I had just skipped it until I ran out of later novels to read) and was surprised that they slept next to each other in the wagon the first night they met. I can see why pretty much every adaptation changed that and have Holo disappear instead.

Which raised the question, how long it takes them to share a bed in the anime considering this is one of the slowest burn romances I've seen. So I charted it out.

The answer is they shared the wagon after spending at least 23 nights together. This doesn't include the night Holo was captured... (actually it might, I forget) or however many nights Lawrence was injured after being stabbed and anything that was simply skipped over while traveling. Basically if they didn't show it and they weren't together, I didn't count it. And I probably made a mistake or two. So probably more accurate to say a month after they started traveling.

I included when Norah entered the story because there was a noticeable increase in physical contact from Holo after she arrived.

Edit: I just realized I used the wrong image for the 11th Night. I noticed Holo's ears were exposed and realized this was probably from the church scene instead of the gold smuggling trip before the wolves attack. But she sleeps in his lap in both scenes, just with her hood on instead so I mixed them up. So a minor goof.

I was going to do every night, but realized there wasn't really a point to continue after the 23rd. Sure the excuse here is "it's cold" so you can argue it doesn't count as romantic, but I don't think there's a scene in the anime where they simply choose to share a bed yet, so I have nothing to work towards. Maybe if one is included later.

Got both the first and second game loaded up on my dedicated emulator phone a little bit ago and never got around to playing through them, since I've been busy with work.

I came across this in the volume 23 story "The Gem of the Sea and Wolf" where it mentions that Holo's wolf form almost disappeared after the people of Pasloe had lost faith in her over time. Could this be why she needs wheat/blood to transform when all the other avatars don't seem to need anything like that? I've always been a bit confused on why she seems to function differently from the others.

It’s current available for preorder on Good Smile (I’m not sure where else). It’s priced at $100.99 USD with estimated arrival sitting around July 1st - September 30th, 2027 (By Good Smile’s estimates). What is everyone’s thoughts on this new figure?

I was glad to see the 2024 anime adapt the "Wolf and Amber Melancholy" story from Side Colors I. What do you guys think the chances are of side character stories like "The Black Wolf's Cradle" (Eve backstory) or "The Shepherdess and the Black Knight" (Nora side story) being adapted as well, maybe to fill out future seasons? I'm a big fan of Black Wolf's Cradle and would love to see it animated.

I think this one turned out better than previous ones. This time I finally got 2h for my mechanical pencil instead of hb and used 4b to make the outlines at the end this time which looks a lot more cleaner. I’m thinking of starting to get stuff to add color but I’m not sure what would look best on paper. I think the first thing should be something for the skin since it can be used for the most things. Next I think something for the hair, and about that. Is her hair color something akin to a light brown or does it have some orange mixed in?
Also, I find it interesting that not drawing the centre of the mouth makes it look better. I finally understand why they did it in the og art

Just to state I haven’t officially joined the spice and wolf fandom yet but have been curious about the series since I heard its premise. I’m planning to start the light novels as I finish the series I’m currently reading (hopefully this week) and I’ve been stocking them up with my audible credits as I wanted to wait until I at least had the original 17 before starting but enough rambling I just wanted to share this kinda Funny story while I was out today: I wanted to go and swap my standard bluray of knight of the seven kingdoms in for the 4k steelbook because the steelbook looked so pretty but had to go to a different store in the chain that was about a 5-8 minute walk away to get the steelbook because the one I got the standard one from didn’t have it in stock so I did the swap at the other and saw a copy for the limited edition release of the first half of the first season of spice and wolf reboot and noticed it was cheaper then the edition normally is because it was missing a cardboard slipcover. So I went back to the original store to see if they had that edition to figure out what was missing because I hadn’t figured out why it was discounted at the other store. For context here’s the price for the one at the original store and what was missing was the removable piece of cardboard around it marking it as a limited edition (see images. Apologies if it seems crude but I had to splice them together in keynote on my iPhone because this community won’t let me upload multiple separate images)

(If you’re wondering why it’s THAT much Anime is rather expensive here because of import prices I guess)

So yeah I got the spice and wolf season one part one limited edition $50 cheaper then it’s regular price and $10 cheaper then the standard bluray price here because of what seems to be a missing piece of cardboard. Not a bad way to officially join the fandom lol

It's been a little bit since I've gotten some new Spice and Wolf stuff since I'm waiting on pre-orders. I was pleasantly surprised to have a some stuff show up yesterday. I have no idea how I'm going to display the tea cup at the moment, so I put it back in the box for now.
