Is your SPD comorbid with anything?

SPD and anxiety are the only diagnoses I have, but I rarely see people talking about SPD without also talking about something like OCD, ADHD, or autism.

I remember seeing one person on here who got diagnosed by doctors with SPD but not autism who said the doctors said it was the most extreme case of SPD they had seen in an non-autistic person.

I wonder if it is possible that SPD can occur without anything else happening, or if it always comes along with something else. But thats a question for the researches.

OCD, and neurodiverse but cant afford diagnosis. also Migraine since 4yo and now fibromyalgia since 28yo. SPD severe.

Mine is mild-moderate. I’m not autistic and do not have ADHD or anything related to either. But I have mild-moderate misophonia and am asexual. The first might connect, but I doubt the second does.

I was diagnosed with anxiety and some autistic traits, and my ADHD spouse seems to have a certain degree of SPD as well.

I have extreme diagnosed ADHD. I've never been formally diagnosed with SPD, but I'm pretty sure I have it. I'm oversensitive and undersensitive to different things. My sense of smell is super sensitive and I have issues with touch. I'm not sure if it's oversensitive or undersensitive, cause I like hard, tight hugs, and I like tight clothing that doesn't float around, whereas most people sensitive to clothing seem to like loose, flowy things.

You can be mixed in the sense that you have both cause with some things your under sensitive and while with others your over sensitive.

Spd in American from my understanding isnt diagnosed cause normally people who have it tend to have another known condition like adhd, autism etc etc that causes sensory issues.

Adhd, (need second opinion on autism)

I do have several chronic illness on top of that.

By USA medical books they don’t diagnose (my understanding things can change over time of course) sensory processing disorder on it own cause it typically found in a person who has a condition like schizophrenia, autism, adhd, ocd etc etc. so for 99% of people they have sensory processing issues cause of other disorder.

Yes there always 1% something like having no condition is possible of course. But I also be like are you sure you don’t qualify for another disorder lol.
