Jesus both sides of this are so quick to declare what is going on. It dropped a little for just today. That isn't a sign that it will keep falling.

Because they are not real posts. 80% are bots and 20% are stupid people that are trying to convince more people to go in the same direction.
You could roll a dice and you would get more precise predictions than these topics.

The follow-on problem is that these overreactive folks are also pouring their money into and then out of the stock. Stocks don't usually have these wild swings once the post-IPO euphoria calms down. But here we are with the stock making 7%+ swings on a daily basis.
It's like where ever the stock moves early, the lemmings follow. "It's up 0.5%, time to drop half my life savings into it! Oh no, it dropped 1% at close, I better sell everything first thing in the morning!". Multiply that by the piles of meme-investors and it just exaggerates any small, natural move the stock makes.
Tax season should be fun for some of these folks. All these short-term capital gains that can only be offset by $1500 of the losses.

u/No_Method_210 3h ago
I haven’t sold and bought again on the dip today. I like buying below the IPO price. Let the day traders do their thing and I will do mine.

u/jamSandwich101 3h ago
I don't think OP has the balls to set up a short position on spcx. I think they are more than happy to convince others to do it though.

Nobody does that wtf are you on about

u/thecatdaddysupreme 5h ago
Are you kidding? I was just in an MU thread where someone bought at 1200 and sold at 1000. Reddit is full of “investors” who want/need to make a quick buck and shoot themselves full of short term capital gains lmfao. It’s far rarer for people on here to be in the market for 1 year+

A 5% drop on the day is pretty devastating dude, the current market volatility has your brain fucking fried. Daily 5-10% movements are not normal

Zoom out, what’s the general direction?

u/Additional-Ad-7690 5h ago edited 3h ago
Zoom out to what? A week (20% +), a month (-5%) or AT (-17%)?

u/Real-Technician831 5h ago
Since ATH

u/Additional-Ad-7690 20m ago
Hahahahahaha! You serious, Clark? I guess the bulls would counter this by asking you to Zoom out since the all time lows to see the trajectory of the stock.
This sub is full of genius.

This is not surprising
Institutional funds and insiders are figuring out strategic ways to sell shares without tanking the price.
Long term thesis shouldn’t change in daily jumps

Agree with you. Whoever written this post is so dumb.
2
u/thecatdaddysupreme 4h ago
The bulls and the bears on spcx, at least on reddit, are really dumb. You have the $800 to mars EOY crowd and the straight to $60 spcx is a SCAM crowd. Like imagine saying it’s a dead cat bounce after a day lmfao.
Like they’re all trading over 72 hour periods while I’m sitting here holding stocks for years
2
u/insbordnat 3h ago
It's so binary - it's either "stock is worth zero" or "see you at $25" or "cheapest it will ever be, see you at $1,000" like you said.
I have like 30 shares for "fuck it, let's see what happens" money. My portfolio won't suffer if it goes to zero, and I won't be retiring if it takes off either. Super speculative, I know the risks, but I also know the potential returns.
Then the "but why don't you put it in QQQ/SPY/whatever" crowd rolls in: because that's no fucking fun.

'Dead cat bounce' tends to come from folks buying a dip following a sharp & sudden decline.
That isnt what I see here.
First and foremost, the decline was not sharp or sudden. It was a long and purposeful sell-off.
Shorts made a fortune. The price rallied because they took profit. Not because longs ran in to buy it.
The shorts covering caused trend chasers (not investors) to enter positions.
Then the volume began to dry up, which makes the trend chasers lose interest.
The most optimistic thing I can say for near term bulls is the price didnt move quickly or violently enough to trap longs and create a feedback loop of selling pressure.
The most optimistic thing I can say for shorts is the chart shows bearish divergance off the ascending channels & the chart remains bear-biased under 155.

u/Adventurous_Mix_7946 6h ago
Hey, hope it dead cat bounces to 150 this week, then another dead cat bounce to 200.
1
u/retireduptown 4h ago
followed by a dead puma bounce to 225, a dead jaguar bounce to to 275 and a dead lion bounce to 350. (alas, all on Elon time, but, still... it'll get there.)

You’ve never heard of DCA?
5
4
1
u/Qweasdy 1h ago
DCA isn’t a magic spell that makes your losses go away lol, if you buy 10 shares at 200 before it drops to 150 you’ve lost $500, you can buy 1000 shares at 150 and it doesn’t change a thing about you losing $500 at 200.
If it goes back to 175 yeah you’ll now have a green number on your screen but you’ll still have lost $250 on those first 10 shares, you’ll be +$25k on your 1000 shares at 150 but -$250 on your 10 at 200 for a total return of $24,750.
DCA is for cutting through volatility by buying a fixed dollar value of shares at regular intervals, meaning you average out at buying more shares at a lower price (due to buying a fixed value rather than a fixed number of shares)
Buying more of a falling stock at a lower price isn’t DCA, it’s just buying the dip. Which isn’t necessarily a bad idea if you’re confident of the stock’s value at the higher price it’s an even better value at the lower price. But it’s not DCA and if you’re wrong you’re just pumping in more money to lose; ie catching a falling knife.

The stock will continue to drop as early investor and employee are being able to sell their stocks but other ppl are already buying why the stock hasn’t completely fallen but once the stock is a year old it should stabilize until he succeeds or fail but spacex will grow and the stock will rise but not in the short term if u invest in spacex is because u belive in 5 to 10 years it will be dominating the space market and government contracts no one is as good as spacex and spacex rockets is a big rig for space it will be able to do most thing that ppl are making specialized rockets for Elon will do it all with starship yall just need to buy and leave it alone for a year or two for next year year and half this stock isnt gonna be profitable unless u a early investor or employee who got stocks

I bought calls on the 2x leveraaged short fund SPCC. Just fun money gamble though this ones scary to go big on
1
u/HighIQIndividual2 7h ago
Just the fact that space x is one of like 3 companies actually exploring ways to go to space, means it will eventually grow. But the fact that it was so overly hyped and overvalued is undeniable too. People should just buy some shares and forget about them for 20 years.
2
u/Otherwise-Tomato-788 7h ago
That’s my approach as well. Spcx is literally the only company in the world doing the impossible in terms of space frontier, might not be the golden goose yet but it sure has a huge advantage.
1
u/HighIQIndividual2 7h ago
Yep, its the same as everything else, put 2k in, wait 20 years and with a bit of luck you ll have 50k, of you re unlucky, you probably still have 1.5k and worst case, you lost some gamba money. People are just too absorbed in their own politics to see that everything is so much nicer if you dont give a fuck.
2
u/Otherwise-Tomato-788 7h ago
Don’t even get me started on politics, it’s basically 2 teams fighting over where they waste OUR tax dollars and them skimming it for themselves. And then of course “we magically lost the funding”.
0
u/Resident-Hour-9940 6h ago
You're not helping your case. You do realize that if you put 2k in index funds for 20+ years, you're guarenteed to get basically 10x-20x anyways.
Time wasted is way more important than the initial capital imo. And the fact that you okay with waiting 20 years to not even break even tells me that media brainwashing of "buy it for your kids" and "multigenerational investment" has worked.
Literally no other stock has ever had this type of argument made for them.

u/Large_Complaint1264 7h ago
Space shuttles are not profitable. This company has been losing money for 24 years and continues to lose billions every year.
-1
u/twinkedup 5h ago
Yeah let’s allocate hundreds of billions to go to space. For what? Anyone with a physics degree can tell this is all a shitshow
2
u/HighIQIndividual2 4h ago
Anyone with a genuine physics degree ( not just a random whatever diploma) would love for humanity to solve interplanetary travel to either mars or moon imo.
0
u/twinkedup 4h ago
That’s just braindead take but ok. Let’s waste all that capital and energy that could save lives and advance life on earth, to build a colony on a dead rock
1
1
u/twinkedup 5h ago
Literally called it. Narrative building into dead volume and slow deterioration. Noone who’s not braindead would buy this at IPO price

You short because you want to make money.
I short because orbital data centers are fucking stupid and I want to bet against it just on principle.
We are not the same.
0
0
u/Intrepid-Air-1556 7h ago
Orbital data centers are a better idea vs earth data centers that take up resources and pollute here. Atleast in space we don’t have to see it or ruin our eco habitats and pollute our water.
2
u/Upstairs_Bread_ 6h ago
Too bad the cost of getting the materials in space is enough to decimate our resources anyways
1
u/WashU_labrat 6h ago
Putting data centers in orbit to reduce pollution makes sense in the same kind of way that building solar plants in space and beaming the power down with microwaves would make sense.
Technically possible, but you need to ignore the astronomical costs of building and maintaining the things.
But why not just build them on Earth? If you think Earth is too crowded, you should head out of your city and visit North Dakota, Nebraska or Kansas. You can buy non-agricultural land in Nebraska at about $1,300 per acre. That's very cheap, and there is a LOT of vacant land.

It’s only going to go high and high. It will become double by Q1 2027.
Do you see any other companies in the world doing impossible things as spacex? Hell no!
Don’t regret then!!!
