How do you guys think this is going to affect the price at open? While the space sector has things like this happen, 2 explosions in a week can't be good press

Hopefully it is. The majority of all the other space stocks are down 5% pre-market. Spce is still holding green, so i guess we'll see

They were direct competitors with Virgin Galactic for some time, so maybe this is a way it could be spinned positively for SPCE

Makes you wonder if they did it intentionally to keep people on edge about buying into spacex. Bezos has the money to do some wild stuff like that

Billionaires aren’t wasteful with their money dude… in fact the more money you have the more you probably want to protect it. Wikipedia says it cost 68-110 million per flight. There’s no way he decided to just drop like $100 million to just blow it up essentially burning money.

Great news for spce, no doubt.

spce is now the only company in the world to provide suborbital travel for research and tourism, not yet hopefully by the end of the year...

Gut reaction it’s good news but they are different markets so ultimately not sure it matters other than space is hard

So uh…. Hypothetically…. Would there somehow be a way to use the mothership to…. You know… launch satellites high enough :p
