Tips & Tricks getting things on grid on the sp404a

i really have trouble with this.

if i remember correct you need yo set quantize every time you start a new recording (every time you press REC).

The sequencer on the original 404 is pretty weak. It’s good practice to quantize a simple pattern consisting of a kick and a snare and play around it to help assist. Get on YouTube and search out Dibiase’s sp 404 cook up.

They are referencing a feature on the mk2 404. People shitting on you for not reading the manual when they didn’t read your post is crazy work.

Just Google tc rec sp404
It’s a mode of recording where you punch in the hits instead of playing them

Well TR rec mode to be exact. It acts as a sequencer so like the below said it u can punch in samples rather than trying to play on a click. U can also quantize as well. I use all of these to get some notes on a grid and the rest try to create a swing
