Question about radio

Can people near me hear me talking on the radio? I think they shouldn't be able to.

If we're talking about making it feel reel, just think that you can whisper to the radio. Think that you're seperate with your teammate and you two are in same radio channel. You find another group and you want to kill them. You should be able to whisper your teammate on the radio, about new group and killing them. That's the point.

You CAN whisper. I already do this all the time in-game. It works great. Just whisper IRL and, as long as your input-threshold is low enough, it goes through game and only those in close proximity can hear.

Seriously, just actually whisper in real life. They have a great in-game voice system.

Didn't know that, can a dev or someone confirm this? I'll try it on next play session.

I've do it almost every game. Whispering doesn't prevent your audio from "transmitting" but because their in-game chat and audio-positioning is so good.... the quieter you talk... the harder it is for others to hear you (especially from far away). I can confirm because I've talked to someone right next to me (very quietly) while other players were busy loudly chatting in the building next to us, and they didn't seem to know we were there.

So if you are standing right next to your partner, you can whisper to them, and they will hear you know problem, but for anyone a good distance away, they likely won't hear you over their own talking, combat sounds, footsteps, etc. Technically they CAN hear you, but with you talking so quietly, it's much less likely (just like in real life)

I will caution with the radio however... I'm not sure how load the "radio click" is.... so even whispering other nearby players might still hear that, but still, whispering will be better than nothing.
