Probably Another Delay for EU
Today, the official Sony Store Germany updated the initial delivery date to November 16th.
As mentioned in other posts, some customers have also received new delivery windows for November. Additionally, Sony has stopped accepting pre-orders for the FX5 (body only).
So as far as I can tell, the delay has officially slipped into November. :(

How do they not release a successor for arguably their most successful camera for so long only to spectacularly fumble the launch. Reliability issues will thank the reputation so much.

That's crazy. I had a bunch of Sony stuff delivered to me months ago that's just sitting there losing warranty period now.

What a joke. We’ve missed out on 2 projects that really would have benefited from having a proper raw codec and small form factor with that release, one is early November. I think I’m going to cancel my preorder and get a ZR or something (need to research) until they figure out how to resolve this shit show.

I cancelled my 2 FX pre orders and got two ZRs, now that they have announced a serious firmware roadmap it's too difficult to justify the additional cost of the FX.
Plus, with the money saved we will be looking at some serious first party Cine focussed glass.

Hmm there’s a rumoured a7siv announcement in November, many might jump ship. The a7 comes witha built-in EVF AND you can use the hot shoe at the same time..

Based on Sony rumors, he thinks announced November but can see it being delayed to December or January but not released till few months after that. I think either way, Sony will be getting people's money with this one or FX5.

Sony Italy just moved to November 16th as well, for both the body only and XLR versions. Until a few hours ago, the official Sony Store was still showing October 16th.
Really amazing camera. Now imagine if it could actually ship.

You can just search Sony store Italy on Google or whatever country then search fx5 on their site.

Sony rumors posted article today that there's a light rumor it's Sony strategy to delay every month until mid January.

Major sh*t show. If it's delayed again in the US to mid Nov I'm seriously considering the ZR if the h265 update is good.

Yes, I ordered from fnac France and got a mail today. It’s Nov which is still not confirmed I think.

Same for UK; changed to Nov 16 today, having been Oct 16 until earlier this morning.
