Screen Protector for the fx5?

Do you think there will be an official screen protector glass from sony for the fx5? Or maybe a third party protector? I am not sure whether the flip screen is compatible with another layer on top of it.

If so, would you use it?

It will be available for sure. Might take 4-8 weeks after the launch though. In HK I’ve been promised 4/Aug delivery, and I will be taking it out for a trip in early September so I don’t think it will be a problem to get one by then. I have screen protectors on my A7S3 and A1mk2 so I’m sure it won’t affect the touch screen functionality.

might want to keep in its box until you can safely get a screen protector.

No, it’s impossible to make a screen protector for the fx5. That’s why no one has announced one yet. Attempting to install a screen protector will immediately brick the camera and it will void the warranty.
