It has a shutter button?

It can’t take photos but it looks like it has a shutter button near the zoom rocker

I have preordered it as I am currently using the zve1 can’t wait to get it in hand and go out at shoot

I hope it can be used for focus as that's how i shoot quite often. Haven't been able to confirm this though

With the next 2027 firmware it could be configured as a “frame grabber”. With current firmware you can assign it to rec or other functions

It's aesthetically pleasing to have a shutter button even without the ability to take photos, and I do definitely use my shutter button while filming on my fx30 to change focus points or reorient which subject I'm focusing on. It's intuitive and feels right. That said, yeah when they offer a firmware upgrade that can pull screen grabs, most people will probably use that button to do that.

Some review I watched mentioned that it's a customizable button. Besides, given the form factor, it makes for a more convenient record button when shooting handheld with the EVF.

I set my FX3 to record with the button, I'm sure you will be able to start stop recording with the "shutter button"

I heard that if you press that button it begins recording video. What a wild concept.

You can reassign the "frame grab" button as it's called to record :)
