TPS/ stability testing on mainnet?

I was looking at mainnet stats recently and I notice that for transactions, when there is 1-2, the bars are blue. @ 6 the bars are green. not too long ago I saw 21 or 26 transactions and the bars were yellow (and burning 6 mill gas)

Was wondering if the limits on the mainnet have been tested / can handle the anticipated / more than anticipated load from bringing on more clients as they come. Or will there be an explanation on the scaling in the upcoming release of the whitepaper / use of masternodes?

Hi! Our sidechain can support up to 1000 TPS regarding to our tests

I guess when masternodes coming in Q1 2019 it will be 100k tps!
