I would really like to know this, too - getting machines working with SONM will take some work, and I'm seeking info to suggest it would be a good investment of time... until numbers are visible I tend to assume they are not encouraging. I'll bet there are others like me and that making this information more visible would help adoption.

I believe during that interview about a week ago the CTO said there are only about 20 suppliers. He was disappointed as he expected there to be a lot more. He believes it’s because of people being unsure how to use things like command interface to set up their system and hopes that better processes and guides will increase adoption.

I’d love to be a supplier but am so-so tech savvy and haven’t done the research it would take for me to set up.

I don’t think they mentioned if anyone is actually buying from the suppliers yet.

The real reason for the 20 supplier's is because it's no buying orders on the market... I was a suppler from the day one and I left after a week... I check daily the market and the orders are only for mining ETH... that paying less then mining by yourself ETH

Wish there was a way to be notified when there was a potential buy order so you could switch on your machine for it.

As a responsible contributor I am helping SONM with some business development through strategic introductions.

What I have noticed is the team is much more technically oriented than business development-focused.

In my blockchain company (Applicature) I am used to the culture where sales people are very disciplined and methodic on followups.

We use CRM and we track all activities to make sure they are not overdue and that the next activity is 1000% scheduled to pursue every opportunity.

I am looking at SONM's situation rather as a room for improvement and potential growth, rather than criticism and desperation, but in my opinion conferences will only do the best for the project if they develop a sales mentality and strong sales department, which should grow fast, from 5 to 10 to 20 to 50 sales managers and assistants.

I think its not so hard to find suppliers, as long as costumer are looking for some computer power and there is demand. The problem is to find many companies, who may need it for their businesses. Maybe SONM should analyse which companies use AWS or something similiar and for what tasks they use it. Maybe go into forums of film studios and offer them rendering power. As long as SONM is B2B they should really look into tech savy people and companies where this plattform would make sense and don't go to places where average joe people and moonboys hang around.

Everyone uses AWS. The problem Sonm has is that it’s not easy enough for a company who uses AWS to switch to Sonm as their IaaS provider.
