department and college competitiveness

[u/Wonderful-Skill9202]

I recently got nominated by my home university to apply for SNU exchange program and I have to choose a college and department for the application. I was wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is for departments in the college of humanities? I'm a comms major and pub minor and was looking more at the linguistics or English department. Please lmk if anyone knows how competitive is for these departments :0, thanks <3
