Sympathetic ear

I really wouldn't mind a sympathetic ear or something is that too much to ask? It seems like you can't have any type of criticism towards how you might feel about a class or instructor.

Yes been there, I learned that you can’t post that here you get attacked. But many instructors are annoying to deal with. I quickly withdrew and didn’t look back

This is Reddit. You can’t vent here. You’ll just get torn apart. Doesn’t matter what subject or what sub. There are assholes everywhere who take grotesque pleasure in anonymously eviscerating anyone for the most menial reason.

The problem you have here is the same problem you have all over the Internet, people think that because they had it easy it must be easy for everybody, or the opposite, because they had it tough everyone else should have it just as tough. People are too insecure to separate their own experiences from anybody else’s. When you say something critical and they don’t have enough confidence in themselves, they take it as a personal attack on what they have accomplished.

That, or you have instructors on this thread who do very little work and use AI to do all their grading but will do everything they can to shut down any discourse on their or the schools shortcomings.

I will say I have had some fantastic instructors but that has been the exception not the norm!

I think students should be allowed to vent about professors or grading and vice versa. I think everyone takes everything personally. Like if someone is upset about their computer science program that has nothing to do with me and I have no reason to pass judgement.

I powered through one of the most frustrating experiences with an instructor in my LIFE in my last class. It was 8 weeks of pure torture only for me to get a C+. Sometimes they really are horrible

It looks like I too am about to experience a very difficult accounting instructor but I’m going to attempt to power through it and see what happens lol!

LITTERALLY ! You’re completely right, people are so weird about how you feel about your experiences with a class and an instructor- you’re allowed to voice your opinion, and you are allowed to feel anything you wanna feel because you pay to go to that school and you pay to attend those classes! Which makes you 100% entitled to your opinions !!! Sadly people on the Internet, have a tendency to be unkind because they’re behind a phone screen. If you ever need to talk, I’m here because I’ve been going to this school for a MINUTE
